Oh, MONDAY!

Why are Monday's just the absolute worst?
Maybe not every one, but most are and today's was no exception.

It started off as any other Monday really... and then my phone went off... thought it was an
Amber Alert, but it was from EMERGENCY ALERTS, letting me know that there was a
"TORNADO WARNING in this area til 11:30 AM EDT. Take shelter now. Check media."

***We actually got THREE alerts altogether, because there were TWO different tornado warnings and one was extended from 11:30 to 12:00 PM

Frantic, I turn on the local news to see what they're saying
because it didn't seem too crazy outside, weather-wise. We've been having yucky rainy weather for the past 3-4 days, with really nasty thunderstorms, and this wasn't anything remotely close to what we have been having. I peeked out the window and noticed a neighbor walking his dog. No rain.

I turn it on and see our exact area highlighted and the meteorologist saying it is headed our way.
I get Kenley to get her things and we go into one of our big walk-in closets... and I grabbed Jovi, too!
I put them in, and quickly go grab some bottles of water, blankets etc.

Still having our news on, our cat who usually LOVES being in closets...
seriously I'm usually dragging him out of them,
BUT all of a sudden he cannot stand to be in it this morning,
UNDER a freaking TORNADO WATCH.
He manages to escape, so I have to go and grab him from the living room... while I scoop him up I managed to peek out the window, because I noticed how dark it must have gotten out to make our living room so dark as well. When I do, it seriously appeared to be midnight out... it had went completely DARK, when just 5-10 minutes before it was not. This scared me even more.

THANKFULLY
the tornado did not touch down in our area, but in other areas close to us it did, but again, thankfully it did not do any serious damage. There were lots of videos and pictures taken of it and we were able to see it and be grateful we did not see it in person!

As grateful as I am I'm still NO fan of 2020.

I'm scared to ask what's next?
Just when I thought the crazy was coming to an end we have to watch out for tornado's.

On a plus my Kate Spade order that I ordered forever ago arrived today!
I had seriously almost forgotten about it, so when I got the text alert it had been delivered it made this crazy Monday a bit sweeter!

Here's hoping that the rest of the week won't be so chaotic.
