{Friday Night MOVIE Night} ♡

For tonight's FNMN, we picked a classic...

TROOP BEVERLY HILLS!

This wasn't our first time watching this, and we actually own the DVD too, but we hadn't watched it in a while and when we saw it was coming on we had to. Movies from the 80's were just so much better.

11 years today, I lost someone very special.

Every year on this day I try to celebrate HIM and his life.

This morning I put on my Van Halen vinyl and listened to his absolute favorite song, and remembered the day when he was so very ecstatic to teach me all about VH, and to really appreciate the music.

We both shared a love for music and lyrics... and oh how I miss those days and nights of just listening to music with him and dissecting lyrics.  To us there was no better way to spend a Saturday night than with wine and listening to music. We would listen to everything from Sinatra to Starship.
I think he's the reason why my music variety is so wide. We listened to it all.

When I had to get ready to go and do a few things out, I chose my VH tee...

There's always pieces of you in everything I do,
and reminders in my every day life that make me think of you!

Happy Birthday, America!

This Fourth was definitely different (due to COVID and everything being canceled),
but the love and excitement was still there from us regardless.
No matter what, we will always celebrate this great country and be thankful on her birthday.

Started the day off with surprising Kenley with a basket of Fourth goodies...

Then we got dressed in our Red, White, and Blue and went to the Coast to celebrate with family.

Ate cupcakes, specifically to wear the cute American-flag heart-shaped rings BEFORE going to our dinner reservation... because hey, it's America's Birthday and we can eat dessert first! :)

And then, we chose tattoos to wear. We were definitely the most Patriotic at dinner, for sure!

After dinner we stopped to get ice cream and drove around the beach town,
couldn't drive on the beach since the weather wasn't the best.
Then we went and watched fireworks in the neighborhood, from the neighbors,
which I have to say was a pretty spectacular show for it not being professionally done.

Also did sparklers, or well, Kenley and I watched as family did them because we LOVE them, but we just don't like doing them ourselves because they scare us... yet are so pretty.

It was still a fun-filled day celebrating our beloved country, just a bit different this year.
