4-27 ♡

Picked up some of my favorites...
Chipotle.... Starbucks....
and came back home and had a little Movie Night watching my favorite film...

Breakfast At Tiffany's!

No cake this year, instead I opted for BIRTHDAY CAKE Pops!

While it was nothing fancy, it was still perfect...
it's always the little things in life I love (and appreciate) the most, and my sweet girl wrote me
the absolute sweetest card, that I'm going to cherish FOREVER!

I'll have to picture it and do it's very OWN post, because it definitely deserves it's own posting!

Sunday ♡

Venturing out on this gorgeous day!

Okay, so we didn't actually venture out too far...

BUT the line for the drive-thru was VERY venturous!

It was all worth it though, my coffee was one of the best I've had in a while
AND
Kenley's chocolate croissant, or "pain au chocolat" as the French say, was perfectly yummy...
according to her, so our little trip was a success, minus the long wait!

Happy SUNDAY!

Happy PICNIC Day!

Today is National PICNIC Day!

To celebrate we created a Picnic Playlist to play during our little picnic...

We listened to our music while eating hot dogs!
The pink water we had (pictured lower left) was such a pretty color out in the sunlight... we had to picture it! It reminded us of our pink coloring we did weeks before for our Easter eggs!

Happy Picnicking!

Earth Day, 2020

Happy Earth Day!

We are still doing Schooling at Home, and this week Kenley had a fun assignment for MUSIC that involved being outside, so I saved it for today to also celebrate EARTH DAY!

Her assignment was to pick a spot outside, sit and listen to sounds...
and then, pick 4 sounds and draw the things she heard.

So I made her a sheet with 4 spaces for the things she heard, gathered one of our cozy comforters, packed a bag of snacks and we picked an ideal spot outside AND thankfully it was the PERFECT weather, granted we waited until later in the day, but it was very breezy and absolutely perfection!

Her Four Things...

For 1, instead of drawing the bird she heard, we took a picture of it instead and I just used my little Sprocket (picture printer) to print it out and since it prints out on sticky film, she just stuck it on like a sticker! Also used our Instax camera to document our 'Earth Day Picnic' and just placed it on top while I took the picture to turn it in to her Music Teacher.
This was definitely a favorite from this week, and a reminder to enjoy the little things!

Oh, MONDAY!

Why are Monday's just the absolute worst?
Maybe not every one, but most are and today's was no exception.

It started off as any other Monday really... and then my phone went off... thought it was an
Amber Alert, but it was from EMERGENCY ALERTS, letting me know that there was a
"TORNADO WARNING in this area til 11:30 AM EDT. Take shelter now. Check media."

***We actually got THREE alerts altogether, because there were TWO different tornado warnings and one was extended from 11:30 to 12:00 PM

Frantic, I turn on the local news to see what they're saying
because it didn't seem too crazy outside, weather-wise. We've been having yucky rainy weather for the past 3-4 days, with really nasty thunderstorms, and this wasn't anything remotely close to what we have been having. I peeked out the window and noticed a neighbor walking his dog. No rain.

I turn it on and see our exact area highlighted and the meteorologist saying it is headed our way.
I get Kenley to get her things and we go into one of our big walk-in closets... and I grabbed Jovi, too!
I put them in, and quickly go grab some bottles of water, blankets etc.

Still having our news on, our cat who usually LOVES being in closets...
seriously I'm usually dragging him out of them,
BUT all of a sudden he cannot stand to be in it this morning,
UNDER a freaking TORNADO WATCH.
He manages to escape, so I have to go and grab him from the living room... while I scoop him up I managed to peek out the window, because I noticed how dark it must have gotten out to make our living room so dark as well. When I do, it seriously appeared to be midnight out... it had went completely DARK, when just 5-10 minutes before it was not. This scared me even more.

THANKFULLY
the tornado did not touch down in our area, but in other areas close to us it did, but again, thankfully it did not do any serious damage. There were lots of videos and pictures taken of it and we were able to see it and be grateful we did not see it in person!

As grateful as I am I'm still NO fan of 2020.

I'm scared to ask what's next?
Just when I thought the crazy was coming to an end we have to watch out for tornado's.

On a plus my Kate Spade order that I ordered forever ago arrived today!
I had seriously almost forgotten about it, so when I got the text alert it had been delivered it made this crazy Monday a bit sweeter!

Here's hoping that the rest of the week won't be so chaotic.

Made a Target Run today, and didn't even have to leave the car! I love their 'Drive Up' option, especially now with this dang virus still going around.
After getting our online order delivered to us, I decided to stop at Starbucks for a much needed COFFEE. As I was in line I noticed that the car in front of me had meaningful letters and numbers on their license plate that made me think of someone special I lost... and as I was taking a picture of it a VERY symbolic song came on, on the radio... my angel up above was definitely sending me a "Hello", and oh how much I adored it! I love when I get these signs.
I truly believe our loved ones send us signs to let us know they are thinking of us.

So that impromptu trip to grab a coffee ended up making my whole day.

{Easter 2020} ♡

Spent the morning at home, saw what goodies the Easter Bunny left

Watched an amazing sermon by my favorite, Dr. Charles Stanley...

Then we got dressed, nothing too fancy, and headed over to spend the day with family.
We colored eggs, hid and found eggs, and did a Bunny Scavenger Hunt for Miss Priss...

Easter is always one of my favorite holiday's to celebrate...
Holy Week is a hard week to get through, especially Friday and Saturday,
but oh how SUNDAY makes it all worth it!

Hoping Easter brought peace to you and yours!
