June, July and August ....
we are just days away from September, which I cannot believe, but I am so ready for FALL! It's my favorite time of the year, but I am waiting until it's officially Fall (September 22) to celebrate... yes, I am that person.
I have some catching up to do...
So let's see, what all have I neglected to post on this little blog over the past few months?
Kenley started school, an amazing school that we were ecstatic she got accepted into. She's getting to live her Rory moment with having to wear a school uniform, I however did not pull a Lorelai on her first day. She also got her driver's permit... I'm still not okay over here... how I have a daughter who is at this stage in life already, is just truly beyond me. Time is a thief.
Let's see... what else exciting... Oh! The chicks and roos got upgraded to a luxe little coop... it's legit a little cottage. They are spoiled, but so dang cute and they deserve their luxe little pad. Jovi, however, does not approve when we go visit with them... he looks out at the window to us with a look that makes us feel guilty and quite certain he is planning to murder us for committing such a betrayal in his presence. So yeah, not much has changed with the Jovs... he's still cute, but a pyscho... like the song.
We took one of our last Girls Trips to Tally, back in June. I'm sure we'll go back at some point, since it is our Capitol, but this was a pretty bittersweet trip knowing we won't be back for a long while. We did A LOT of damage while there... with shopping. We finally got to go to Lake Ella! We probably picked the worst month to go, but it was still worth it, and I loved it so so much. It's just as magical as it sounds and there's hundreds of sweet little ducks... we picked up some of our favorite feathers that we spotted on the ground... they are everywhere- I think we'll be making a special little ornament for Christmas this year somehow using some of them in it. We also visited the new Capitol... this wasn't our first visit though and Kenley and I prefer the old building, but in the new there's an amazing view of all of Tallahassee, so we had to go one last time on this trip. Picked up a few little things from the gift shop and barely made it out and back to the car before getting stuck in one of our bad Summer storms. Also visited our favorite little place there... the CAT bookstore! We fell in love with one cat in particular who was the absolute sweetest. I follow their account on Insta, and he recently got adopted- which we weren't shocked by at all because he had us wanting to take him home. Kenley found her new favorite Sbux drink on this trip... much Sbux was had, since it was literally walking distance from where we stayed this trip... and I was perfectly okay with that.
And it wouldn't be a post by me if I didn't include photographs, right? This is my own little online scrapbook anyways, so it's only fitting to include such, plus one of my favorite parts is looking back at these and seeing it all... it also serves as a cute little time capsule.
