Valentines ♡

We kept the little Valentines simple this year...

the boys got dinosaurs and the girls got unicorns

 and then we just attached a box of cute little stickers

heart-shaped chocolates for her teachers and bus driver

I couldn't forget about my girl... she got both a unicorn & a dinosaur

This year she was allowed and encouraged to decorate a box for her Valentines.

So we did just that... 

Jovi approved!

While she was at school I wrote out her 14th heart for her door...

I absolutely love and adore this tradition.

We started this last year and it's the best thing ever!

I also put together a basket of goodies for her, kind of like her Birthday Basket...

Jovi also got a little goody bag...

he seemed more interested in the bag than the goody though.

it was a lovely LOVE DAY!

Miss Priss turns NINE ♡

She officially turned nine at 10:40 AM, but since she was going to be in school then, we celebrated with a sprinkled donut before we had to leave...

While she was at school I put together a little surprise
'Birthday Basket'
 for when she got home!

I decided to take it with me
 and surprise her with it once she got off the school bus...

She absolutely loved it!

 Once we got home she got to see her table I decorated...

I always try and use her 'Wish Tree' every year on her birthday, somehow.
The gold branches were used at her Baby Shower, they weren't gold then though, so I love that it's been used since she was in my belly. Although I've added to it year by year.

The CAKE!

This  wasn't the cake we intended to have, but once she saw it (without the lashes, ears and horn) she had to have it! I'm so glad she went with this one though, it was the best cake... tasted like a wedding cake, and as a previous wedding coordinator- I'm pretty much a cake connoisseur- I've tasted a lot of good cakes (and not so good, too)

I cannot believe my girl is NINE, now. I have a nine year old... oh my!
And then, next year she'll be in double digits... oh em gee.
Birthday's are so bittersweet,
 I love seeing her grow and turn into such a little lady- yet at the same time
 I cannot believe she's a little lady!
I think I say this every year, but please time slow down.

Magical Time with Mommy on the Eve of turning NINE

Since her birthday fell on a Monday this year, 

we decided to have an "on the Eve" day celebration Sunday.

A twist on our "Mommy and Miss Priss Day" we did a...

We made a special list of things she wanted to do,

got dressed and went on our magical way...

The biggest thing she wanted to do for her birthday was to get her ears pierced... 

A few months ago Justice, her favorite place (sorry Target), 

announced they were offering services for such. A part of me really wanted to take her to the same place I went when I got my ears pierced because I thought that would be such a sweet thing to share,

 but I know how much she loves Justice so that's where we went!

She did so so good, I was proud! No tears, no scream... nothing! She's definitely braver than her Momma... I can't remember exactly how old I was when I got mine done (hello Mommy Brain), but I know I was not nine... I was definitely in double digits.

After getting her ears pierced we did a little shopping since after all we were in Justice!

I let her pick out candy and also picked up a few things for her party, too!

Up next was Target, well actually the Starbucks in Target...

Did a little shopping in Target and then we went back home!

It was a memorable day with my girl!

I know, it's been too too long... so long in fact that it's a new year! Oops!
 A lot has happened since the last time I blogged... in this new year, Miss Priss turned NINE
(yes, NINE, and no I'm still not okay with it)

I'll do a whole proper Birthday Post, soon!

Another big thing, or well he's actually quite small...

We are officially CAT LADIES, and it happened by accident.

I'll do a whole post on Mister JOVI, too, don't worry!

Lots of other things have happened, but those are the two most important ones.

{Easter Sunday}

Happy Easter!

Beyond grateful to the One who no matter how badly I fail Him, still loves. And oh what a love it is! Pure love. His sacrifice that delivered us from the shackles of sin and granted us eternal life.




That is true love. Perfect and pure love.

Can we restart the weekend over? Please!

So this weekend, while everyone else was having football parties, 

me and the mini went shopping for PARTY SUPPLIES for her party this Saturday.

And, it was so great! We basically had most of the stores we went in all to ourselves, no lie!

Y'all, I cannot believe I'm going to have a SEVEN year old in less than 7 days!

Seriously, where does the time go?!

But, back to our little shopping day...

since I knew we'd be out and about I decided to also have a "Mommy & Miss Priss Day", too!

While this M&MP Day wasn't as fun as our last one (Movie Day, Shopping, & Sbux Date),

 it was still pretty exciting shopping for her BIRTHDAY party.

Miss Panda had to come along too!

Last stop was TARGET, so we had a little Starbucks Date, too!

While sitting at our little table checking things off of our lists, 

there were three ladies in line who made their way over to us...

One had to tell Kenley how fabulous her tutu was and then the other two joined...

 One was a Momma to a little boy but her friend was telling her (while in line) that if she was ever going to have a little girl, that her little would be just like Kenley! :)

They were so nice and sweet & we chatted long after they had grabbed their coffees. 

After our little Sbux Date, we went to see if we could find a "7" candle in Target, with no luck.

Apparently there's a lot of littles turning 7, because this is store No. 3 we've been to with no luck.

With no candle in hand, we somehow managed to get out of Target without a cartful of things... I am not sure how this happened, maybe we were exhausted from all the previous shopping.

Well a pair of sunglasses did end up coming home with me, they were clearanced and Miss Priss approved, but I actually think they're going back- loved them in the store, yet at home I'm now thinking..... no.

I blame the Sbux coffee high, on that one!

So another fun filled 'Mommy & Miss Priss Day', and we got a lot of things crossed off of our lists (yes, there's more than one list) for her party.

Now I'm going to go pour a glass of wine, and let the official party preppin' begin...

there shall be lots of gold glitter sparklin' everywhere! ha!

2016 was a year of change for us...



Kenley graduated Kindergarten, and began First Grade. She also began homeschool this year, too.

We moved into a new place.

We traveled to a new place... NEW YORK CITY.

And, we also traveled back to somewhere we had already been before... to a cozy little cabin!

Okay so, lots of change with some of the same.



Kenley said Hello to 6...
I, however, was not so welcoming to 30.

All in all TWENTY-SIXTEEN, you weren't too bad, but goodbye to you 

& 

may 2017 bring us love, laughter and a continous happily ever after!

Catch Up

{Mid Week Catch Up Post}

I know, it's only Tuesday, not Wednesday, but I'm calling it "mid week" anyways.

In all honesty today is just Monday Part II.

So I haven't posted anything since our Girls Trip, we took over Labor Day Weekend...

Well, I did post something on Sunday, for 9/11.
